Health economics, efficiency and effectiveness
Lynton has led several health economics initiatives and projects, particularly improving the effectiveness and efficiency of hospital services, models of care and coordination of health systems as a whole. Lynton has also undertaken reviews into incentives and disincentives of health system reform, including analysis of the behavioural approaches of stakeholders and participants.

  • Bringing new insights to existing data and enhancing national ‘intelligence’, by establishing unique analytics and linkage protocols to deterministically link Commonwealth MBS and PBS data and State/Territory hospital data
  • The establishment of a national payments system, website, public reports and secure data repository for all Australian public hospital activity, funding and payments
